We are working to make our business ministry as an investment holding firm maintaining a diversified portfolio aligned with our values while taking part in improving our communities.
We aim to accomplish this by strategically investing in companies that operate in a morally acceptable way that provides exceptional goods and services while taking part in improving communities. We believe such companies enable us to best utilize our resources in providing consistent, reliable, and increasing value and dividends to our shareholders.
The idea of launching P&R Capital Group was birthed from a mutual passion for the capital markets and wanting to see a business that helped people and their communities. Thus, the companies co-founders and chief executives Patrick Schattilly and Ronald Rodriguez decided to begin a journey to establish a company that does business as service in strategically investing in value for growth.
The company initially started as an investment club with four board members and chief executives. P&R Capital Group began operations located in Whittier, CA in March of 2009 during the capital markets recovery following the 2008 market crash. The chief executives desired to maintain incorporation as a near-term goal. Unfortunately, the firm faced some expected resistance from potential investors who were fearful of losing their money.
The fears that people had at the time were understandable given the circumstances. First, many were hesitant about the capital markets have given the financial conditions from 2008 to 2010. Secondly, numerous people could not believe that two young individuals had the necessary ability and experience. The resistance from potential investors did not detour us from striving toward achieving what we had envisioned.
The things we faced only encouraged us to learn, adapt, and overcome the initial challenges. We understood then and understand now that there will always be difficulties that will impede accomplishing the goals the company is striving to reach.
